Joma Bakery Café - โจมา เบเกอรี่ คาเฟ่ - สาขา Nam Phou Café

Opened in 1996, the café was formerly known as Healthy & Fresh Bakery. The current owners took over in 1999, and re-branded under the Joma name in 2004. Joma is an acronym for the names of the owners.

Ownership

Joma is an equal partnership between 2 couples: Jonathan & Jocelyn Blair (JO) and Michael & Areerat Harder (MA). Jonathan, Jocelyn, and Michael are from British Columbia Canada. Areerat is from Bangkok Thailand.

Where we're going (our vision)

Joma is currently expanding into Vietnam (Hanoi then HCMC), followed by plans for Cambodia and Thailand.

Employees

In Laos, Joma employs 150 people and serves over 1500 customers a day. We emphasize cleanliness, quality, and customer satisfaction, striving to provide a friendly atmosphere and exceptional service .

Fresh baked goods daily, served by a friendly and professional staff; a taste of home for tourists and foreign workers living abroad.

Our niche

There is an increasing need for bakery cafés that provide quality food and coffee for the western palate across the region. Tourism is growing rapidly in South East Asia. Vietnam is touted as being the fastest growing economy behind China. Hanoi is the first stop in our expansion, as we plan to open 3 new cafés in 2009.

Our clientele consists primarily of local expatriates, tourists, and a significant growing proportion of local Lao.
